Tires Revisited
I have a 98 XLT that was part of the tire re-call nut roll. I did the
Michelin M/S as my chosen replacement and they are wonderful tires. My truck is in need of another set of tires and I'm not where I want to shell out $500.00 to do it. Any recommendations on a decent and cheaper tire? I do about 200 a week on low traffic back country paved/gravel roads and rarely go over 65. Too, I'm keeping them at about 38 to help the mileage a little. TIA, RJ |

Tires Revisited
If you're happy with the Michelins, why not just bite the bullet and do it
all again? I don't even look at other tires, any more - not even the price.... Those four little patches of rubber are all that separate me (and my family) from the ground. When it comes to things like tires, brakes, steering and such, I am not about to start haggling price... Just my point of view. Tires Revisited
Costco often runs a sale on Michelin tires. They are not designated
the same as tires purchased in tire stores, but would trust Costco not to pull a fast one. BTW, you're really in for sticker shock. Tires for my '05 are now around $800 a set.
