Default Keeping Leather Seats Cool - Ideas?

I have a 2003 VW Passat with leather seats. Living in Texas, these
seats get terribly hot in the summer (which started about a month ago).
I am trying to find a way to keep the seats cooler, so that my back is
not drenched in sweat after driving home in the afternoon.

I already use a sunshade in the windshield of the car, and there is a
built-in screen that I pull up on the rear deck. When the weather
permits (no rain), I also leave the sunroof slightly open. Regardless,
when I get in the car after work, the seats are blazing!

I have considered sheepskin covers, but would prefer something else
(I've had 'em on other cars and didn't really like them much). If
anyone has any ideas, please share! I'm all ears (or eyes, as it were).

Feel free to post a reply or email me at entrekin(at)iname(dot)com...

Thanks,
Andy

drape a white towel over the seat when not in use
