Default 1992 Golf Diesel Opinion Needed

I am thinking of buying a 1992 Golf diesel (mkII body) and would like any
opinions of what you think of the car. The body is in good shape and has
279K on the car. What kind of life expectantcy and problems might I
expect???
-clutch was replaced once already
-has new brake press. reg and new lines
-has newer wheel cyls and brake shoes
-new front control arm "pancake" bushings
-newer glow plugs and a brand new battery

Thanks in advance

Ron.

With 279K on it somethings going to break from time to time. That said, I
purchased a 86 gold diesel about 10 years ago with 200k on it, ran another
50k and then sold the car. Not bad for $200 purchase.

If the motor has good compression, you won't have to worry about it.
Things that you'll need sooner or later unless they've been replaced
recently will be Shocks Struts (assc Hardware), Ball Joints, Tie-Rods,
CV Axles and Joints rebuilt, Front and rear wheel bearings. But if you
replace all that stuff the car will feel like New Again.
