Default BP Ultimate or Shell V-power or just Regular diesel?

Hi,

I was wondering if any of you have experience with either BP/Aral Ultimate
diesel or
Shell V-Power?
Without getting into the emission aspect of things I'm just curious if
changing to the
mentioned fuel will make my car run better, smoother etc.

Since test are not conclusive I value the opinion of other Alfa drivers
more.
Any input is welcome.

I just changed to V-power and feel that idling improved and better throttle
responce
Experiences??

My little brother using BP Ultimate in his Ford Transit last week.
Only difference was the hole it left in his pocket

I tried a tank full Optimax in my 156 2L TS - engine performed worse (lack
of power, compared to normal fuel), and no improvement in mpg.
I think these higher octane fuels are only beneficial to turbo/supercharged
engines, or those specifically designed for it (higher cylinder pressures).
