That's what UPS and USPS are for.

There are the usual suspects for used Porsche parts (e.g., Parts
Heaven, 944 Ecology, etc.)

However Performance Products stocks (or at least used to stock...) a
kit which includes a couple of the exact bulbholders one needs for the
plate on the back of the tail light assembly. IIRC, it was about $10.

Thanks for the reply, I didn't see it on their web site, and one of the
guys on the Pelican forums said that the sockets were NLA at least from
Porsche or VW. I have been in touch with one guy parting a car,
hopefully that will give me the joy I seek. If not, I'll give PP a call.

Just a followup, if anyone cares - yesterday I got a package from
someone parting out a 944... in it was a bulbholder... looks like this
car was grey market as the plate is clearly stamped "EUROPA" and the
bulb markings and sockets bear out my original assumption that the brake
light is indeed a P21W not a P21/5W.

Now I just have to track down a switch for the rear fog (could I get
lucky enough that this guy has one of those as well?) and the wiring
harness for the rear wiper setup I got as well.
