96 Passat Heater Blower resistor pack
Does anyone know exactly where, under the dash, this part is located?

about 4 inches left of the blower fan. If it needs the resistor replaced
then the fan also needs replaced. > wrote in message ... > Does anyone know exactly where, under the dash, this part is located? > > Rosie > |

The usual cause of a resistor going is increased power required by the motor that is worn and is dragging. -- Joseph Meehan 26 + 6 = 1 It's Irish Math |

I have to replace the heater motor in my car...I have the glove box
out...but now I need to get the knee guard out. Do I have to remove the whole dashboard to do it? Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks. |

Thanks for that advice. I did look in that area and it wasn't visible. Is it hidden? I'll take another look. I suspect that a clogged pollen filter may have placed extra load on the motor. It's obviously the original filter. (60k miles). "Woodchuck" > wrote in message ... > about 4 inches left of the blower fan. If it needs the resistor replaced > then the fan also needs replaced. > |
