Default 97 Neon's brakes squeak and squeal

My 97 Neon (mileage is 100k) recently made a lot of LOUD squeaks and squeals
whenever I apply the brakes.

So, I took it to my dealership to get the brakes serviced. They replaced the
brakes and the shoes. The noise went away.

But now, after a week of driving, I notice that first thing every morning,
the brakes would produce the squeaks and squeals on initial start-up. While
the braking noise is not as loud as before the service, it's still an
annoying metallic grinding noise.

The noise tends to go away after a few minutes of driving.

Is this normal? Or should I bring it back to the dealership to get it looked
at again?

I think it is normal and the noise should go away pretty soon. Give it a
couple weeks or so. I just went through this on my Dakota about a year ago
and my daughter's 2000 Neon last week. If it doesn't go away or gets worse,
take it back and complain.
