Default Car bytes train

To paraphrase the old wisecrack about "when man bites dog," it is
all too common for a train to run into a car, but when a car runs into
a train, that's news! Especially while the driver is sending a text
message.

Seemed just a bit "type A" for Oregon. Of course, adult beverages
were allegedly also involved, which explains a great deal about how
people anywhere get their name in the paper...

I love this quote, "There are all kinds of ways to get distracted these
days," said police spokeswoman Kerry Delf. "We don't recommend any of
them while you're driving."

Yes, he got off lightly with that remark. If I'd been that cop, the
quote would've been "it's this kind of idiot who is likely to kill one
of your loved ones. I will push to ensure this man is locked up for a
long time"

It wouldn't matter; the majority are too stupid to understand the
circumstance. Fortunately a reasonable number of them die at their own
hands.
