Default Please help me with my 1997 honda CR-V problem

Hi everyone, I have a problem with my 1997 CRV with 90k miles on it

We have had some heavy rain over the last couple days, I went to my car
today and it started up no problem, drove down the hill and did a
u-turn, all of a sudden the engine sould not accelerate very well. It
began to shake a shudder but not stop. I was able to gain speed but
very slowly. Then the Check Engine light came on. I quickly pulled over
and parked. I found that my oil was down to 1 QT or less!?!?!?! What
happened to my oil? I filled it back up. Whne i started the car in park
and reved the engine it moved smooth, but as soon as i put it in gear
the enging once again began to shudder on acceleration, or lack of
acceleration i should say. It's still raining so i havene't been able
to do any other checks to it and i don;t have the tool to check the
error code from the check enginge light. When i stopped the car again
and put it in park it continued to have a rublimg shaking when
accelerating. The enging however isn't making any rattiling or pinging
noises.

I was wondering if this could possibly be a sparking issue or if it is
probably something worse? I'm worried there may be a blown head gasket
from the lack of oil or that may have done worst things. My oil
Pressure light never turned on though. Please any help would be
appretiated.

Please respond with any information as i can very little online and i
can't find my Chilton book.

My 1st guess would be one dead cylinder. Either dead injector, broken spark
plug wire that got affected by moisture from the rain, moisture in the
distributor, or a bad spark plug. Google and then read the code. That's the
1st step in diagnosing.

Most likely the mositure is causing the ignition or fuel injector
problems.
Buy a fuel injector cleaner and pour in the gas tank or get Chevron gas
which contains this. Should correct the problem.

You could have water in the gas, or condensation in the distributor cap,
and you need to check the oil when the manual says to. (each time you
fill with gas). Perform the 'lamp check' to be sure any warning lights
aren't burnt out.

You're due for a valve adjustment too, but that has different symptoms.
Do it every 30,000 miles, when you're changing the Dual Pump Fluid in
the rear differential.

Meantime, a full tank of gasohol might clear up the sputtering, or at
least run a can of injector cleaner thru it seasonally.
