E34 question
I have a 1994 530i that I recently bought. It's in great condition and
I have no qualms about it. (Well, I'd rather have the CD changer in- dash instead of in the trunk, but hey, it's still nice.) One question I have is that there is a wiring harness that goes under the hood liner. Does anybody know what this is for? I'm not mistaking this for the washer fluid hoses as those are readily apparent next to the harness. Oh, and one other question. I tried to do a search to see how I could short out the pins to reset the oil change reminder and I was not able to find what I want. I blame not knowing exactly what to search for. Does anybody know a specific site with this information? Thanks in advance. Vern |

Yeah, I was not sure so I had to check mine ('94 E34 also) and sure enough, the only wiring going up to the hood (bonnet) is for the heated jets. Mine runs right next to the washer hose. -Fred W |

Mine runs right next to the washer hose. There's a wire for the hood light in the bundle, too (on my '91)... Floyd |
