Prelude. Hissing sound like dental drill during acceleration
Hi,
My 2001 prelude makes this hissing sound like a dental drill when I accelerate. I dont think its coming from the speakers, because I disconnected the stereo and it still happens. Can it be a fan clutch stuck? Would the fan sound that high pitched? I also occasionally smell exhaust inside the car. Thanks. |

Intake can be noisy, that's (part of the reason) why it has all those cool chambers added. When's the last time we saw fan clutch? :-( 'Curly' |

If the belt was not replaced just prior to the onset of the noise, this is not the problem. -- Tegger The Unofficial Honda/Acura FAQ www.tegger.com/hondafaq/ |
