Lockers for a Cherokee 00'
Is it as simple as plugging lockers on the ends of the axels, or is
there changing the diff, axels etc. from stock to make lockers function properly? Rick Bass Players Drink Bass |

They are not "plugged" into an axle, they replace a carrier or replace
carrier parts. Most installations you will have to slide the axles out to get to all of the parts. Are you referring to manual locking hubs or locking differentials when you say "lockers". Locking hubs are the kind you get out of the truck, turn the hub dial from "Free" to "Lock" to engage the front axle. In Free position, the front wheels freewheel. Locking differentials are discussed in great detail on the following web page: http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/diffs.htm -- Roger |
