Default Considering a 1993 LWB Range Rover...

Hi all,

I'm looking into buying said Rover, and have been reading the posting
history on this group as related to that model. I've seen many posts
from C. Marin Faure recommending against these LWB models on account
of the supposedly dodgy suspension and engine that's too powerful for
the frame. But I've seen no-one either confirm or rebut his
arguments... so what is the consensus? Should these be avoided or
not? Thanks for the input.

Seth.

They are good vehicles - certainly not overpowered as you'll find when you
drive one! The only problem with the suspension is that it is an electronic
air system which can get unreliable as they get older. The good news is that
it is easily replaced with ordinary coils and dampers for a few hundred
pounds, so don't let it put you off.
