In the regular antique car market, it's not a plum because it's four doors. Lo-riders don't want them, restorers would rather put the money in a two-door. I personally would make a daily driver out of it if I could afford the gas. I would definitely put in electronic ignition, a PCV system instead of the road draft tube, modern wheels and tires, if they're more than a few years old, and replace _all_ the rubber in the fuel and brake systems as well as the coolant. It's bigger than a modern parking space, though, and the bumpers are fragile. Put it on eBay and specify local pickup. I would also put an ad in the local paper this 4-5 August "We Love You Always Marilyn!" and an ad for the car. You are not saying it was hers, but, she probably rode in one _just like_ it, _could_ have been this one...A teary-eyed MM fetishist might whip out the cash in a grief-fit. Worth a shot. |
