Go to a local store that installs tint, and pretend like you want to
buy/install some. Ask for options, and then say how dark can you legally
go...

Window tinting should be banned. It makes it hard to see at night and
encourages reckless driving during the day.

....and then when you get pulled over, just tell the cop "But Crazy Eddie's
Tint-O-Rama out on Colfax Avenue told me this stuff was legal!" and
they'll tear up the ticket they were gonna write you.

Not.

Every state's tint laws are readily available with an easy Google search.

Agree.

Don't see the connection here...

The local joints are usually forbidden from installing illegal tint... at
least around the socialist republic of chicago...

Lay off the narcotics and you won't need to wear sunglasses at night.

The last song I started on my PC was: Better Than Ezra - Summer House - Deluxe

This is track 9 of 13 in the current playlist.

Big deal. Every car has to have an emission test in Toronto, but all the
taxicabs older than about 18 months are filthy gross polluters -- you can
see blue or black smoke and/or smell the lack of a functioning catalytic
converter and/or hear the missing cylinders. And yet, somehow, some way,
they all have emission stickers.

Don't be an idiot. Window tinting makes it easier to see at night.
It cuts down glare from other vehicles that have their lights poorly
aimed, without having to resort to a night setting on your mirror,
which cuts visibility far more.

Don't be an idiot. If whatever is behind you does _not_ have lights on it,
such as a kid on a bike at dusk, and you're backing up, you're never going to
see it and you're going to flatten it.
