My battery light comes on every now & then. My battery is almost 2 years
old & I drive about 50 miles a week. Any reason for this??? Thanks!

Ummmm, help us out here...under what conditions does the light come on? Does
the motor seem like it wants to stall? Do your hear a squeaking or
squealing noise? Does it only happen when it's raining?

Could be a loose/worn belt, could be the alternator going flaky, could be a
number of things.

Where's my towel?

Your battery light comes on because the battery isn't being charged
for some reason. Chances are good that you have an alternator on the
way out but with the little bit of info you provided this is only a
guess.

your battery light comes on not because your battery isnt getting
charged but your not getting enough voltage....Thus your Alternator is
on the blink...You dont even need a battery in the car after you start
it and the light wount come on... Have your alternator checked before it
goes out and you have to replace the alt and the battery...Also if your
alt checks good take it to the dealer i think theere is a updated
reprogram fo the PCM on this model

While I agree with most of your post you definitely CANNOT disconnect the
battery and have the car keep running. Today's cars have a lot of
electronics that need clean noise free power. The battery filters the noise
from the alternator. Without the battery there is enough noise generated by
the alternator to destroy the computer and most of the electronics.
