'97 Cobra clutch suggestions...
Hola...
I'm considering replacing the clutch in my Cobra before I pull her out in the spring. The car has around 54k on the clock, and probably 10-12 drag passes with Nitto drag radials. I noticed that the last couple passes, on the 1-2 shift, it would just burn the clutch instead of hook. I think it's about time. The car still drives fairly normally around town, but I'd like something with a little more meat in it. The car is mostly a cruiser... it's my summer toy. I'm hoping to get to a road course some day, but it'll still see occasional track duty with the Nittos. Does anyone have any suggestions... perhaps something they've used before with success? I'm looking for something stronger than stock, but I don't need a full-on race clutch. Also, does Ford Racing sell the kits to rebuild the locker in 8.8" rears? (this is for a different car) Thanks... JS |
