Default 97 Explorer

My 97 Explorer will start right up and run for 5 -15 seconds and just
die.It will start up again and the same thing will happen over and over
again. Any ideas wouls be appreciated.6cyl ohc. thank You

Will it keep running if you keep your foot on the accelerator? If so, it is
probably the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve. Simple to change out and can
often get a little life extension by removing and cleaning it.
