Default 67 vw bug brakes

I have a 67 VW bug that has been sitting for a couple of years. I am
now trying to move it but it feels as though the brakes are stuck. The
emergency brake is off and the clutch is pushed to the floor but it
still doesn't move when pushed. Any ideas?
Thanks

Do the rear wheels turn at all? If not, the shoes are likely rusted to the
drums. If they turn a bit then something else is probably frozen.

To fix frozen brakes, use a punch through the inspection holes to hammer a
bit on the metal edge of the shoes. They should eventually pop loose.

Put the car in gear, motor off.
Rock the car back & forth a little bit.

Sometimes works, sometimes it don't.

Hook a tow bar to it & rock it back & forth. No need to put it in gear or
anything....

Why do they call it reckless driving if it causes wrecks?

I wonder why I thought it needed to be in gear ?
Damn, thats just dumb.

Or start it up and rock it back and forth in 1st & reverse.

Well not everyone can be smart like me! ;^p
I wonder if he got it to move? He said it wouldn't "push" with the clutch
in: if he left it in gear & the clutch was stuck it would be hard to push
too....

Pardon my driving, I'm reloading.
