Default 1991 Buick Regal Low Voltage

Hi,
When I switch on the ignition but before I start the car, I've got 14
Volts. The car starts normally. As I drive, however, some odd things
are happening. When at idle, steady cruise and during decelleration, I
get 14 volts. When I accellerate, it drops to about 8 Volts, the
headlights dim and the turn signals stop flashing and remain steady.
This is the opposite of what I'd normally expect. What's going on?
Thanks!

I think its a fried diode bridge in the alternator.
The biggest clue for me is the radio interference post the OP has also
posted about with the same car.
You will hear a bad diode through the radio, and it is not uncomon to have
this problem, esspecially with that era GM alternator.

Thanks, guys.
I'll try a new alternator.
