Default Stuttering in GTR - Help!

I just recieved GTR and I'm having a problem with an annoying stuttering happening mainly at the start of a session. I think it's having issues loading the textures into the game and it's causing this. Here are my specs:

AMD 2400XP
Asus A7N8X-DX Motherboard
512MB PC3200 SDRAM
128MB Radeon 9800Pro w/ latest Omega Drivers
WinXP Pro

I have all the graphic options set to "High" and I'm using "low resolution wheels and car liveries" and it still stutters at the start of each session.

I have this problem in N2003 also when using a high-res carset.

Aaron this is an issue of the computer cars being drawn and there is a rumor that it will be fixed in patch 1.2. I usually accelerate the time 10 mins or so at the start of a session and it seems to help.

You may want to try X-Setup as well.
