By 30K I couldn't take it anymore and put Michelin's on. It was like driving a different truck. Smooth and quiet. With the firestones no matter how many times I had them balanced and no matter who did the wheel alignments the front end shook, sometimes so badly you'd think the tires were going to fall off, and this was at speeds as low as 50 mph. With the Michelins I could drive the very same roads at 75 mph with no vibration or shaking at all. One work truck with E rated Firestones SteelTex tires blew out 3 of the 4 tires in less then 10 K miles. I will never ever buy another firestone tire as long as I live. |

Kelly Tires
i think with firestone, badyear, and others, "you pays your money, you takes
your chances". "Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder" "rvfulltime" > wrote in message ... A local tire store is advertising some Kelly tires at an attractive price. Has anyone used these on their Ford Explorer? Mine is a 2000 XLT 4 door 4x4. -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |
