Default Paint Paste

Has anyone had luck mixing Miata touchup paint with something else, like car
wax, and putting that over spots that need tweeking. Why? Puttting the
touchup direct usually looks worse.

I use Turtle Wax Color Cure with chipstick, but I'm NOT very picky. If the
car looks good from, say, 15 ft. away, I'm happy.
