Have a few small dents, what is the best way to get them out? This
paintless dent removal thing work?

Yes it does. Had it done on my 2001 740 and it was perfect. I suppose it
depends on the skill of the person doing it, but it can be done.

Dent Wizard did a couple for me; I think they did 2-3 small dings on my
Dodge Voyager for $225. dentwizard.com

In both UK and Germany I was given referrals by the car main dealer (the
fact that is was not BMW -- another famous German brand -- should not
matter).

I would ask who the local BMW body shop uses. That would be a good
endorsement.

I also had mine done by dent wizard. I think it was $50/dent.
