Seasonal question ! What anti-freeze ?
Hello
I could do with finding out if there is any special anti-freeze for my 164 2l TS, as many years ago, my Alfetta sprung a leak in it's cylinder head which the dealer put down to incorrect anti-freeze for an aluminium block. Is this still the case these days, or is all anti-freeze suitable for aluminium block engines ? (For reference, I'm in the UK so the weather is never that extreme). Thanks in advance Marcus |

I've not found any that isn't. Personally I use whatever I can get my hands on, currently the 75 has Halfrauds stuff in it. -- Catman MIB#14 SKoGA#6 TEAR#4 BOTAFOF#38 Apostle#21 COSOC#3 Tyger, Tyger Burning Bright (Remove rust to reply) Alfa 116 Giulietta 3.0l (Really) Sprint 1.7 75 2.0 TS Triumph Speed Triple: Black with extra black bits www.cuore-sportivo.co.uk |

I was in there the other day and they wanted four quid for a litre, when it's only 1.99 a litre in Tesco (Carplan stuff). Halfords seems to be more of a Dixons/Currys/Comet style rip off every day. I put red in the Alfa, green in the MG. ;-} Dr E-- mhm 17x1 Linux: Load it, Learn it, Love it. |

or you could indulge in non-water based coolants like Evans NPG+ for
super-efficient cooling and anti-freeze down to -40C, but at a price of £25 Gallon.
