That was the one that was most glaring to me. I sent the author of the column an email explaining the difference between real consideration and "consideration". |

I love how the whole thing started, she rolls up to the exit, "realizes her seatbelt is hanging" which means she does not put it on before starting to drive, and perhaps never puts it on, as she was "fiddling with it" not "putting it on" Then "a car appeared" behind her, she is so unaware of her surroundings, that cars magically "appear" places, This magic car then has time to honk four times, according to her own story, while she sits blocking the exit to a parking garage playing with her seatbelt (but not putting it on, of course) The writer of this story is the exact type of person who should ride in cabs. I sent the author of the >column an email explaining the difference between real consideration and >"consideration". We just need to replace horns with LOUD and vulgar taped messages. 1) "YO ASSHOLE, GO, THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN ABOUT 20 MINUTES AGO" 2) "HEY MORON, HANG UP AND DRIVE" 3) "****HEAD, THERE'S A FRIGGING CAR HERE" (for lane-changers who don't look) 4) "ONLY ONE LANE, ASSHOLE" (for lane-straddlers and drifters) etc. Perhaps Sylvester Stallone, Andrew Dice Clay, or even Gilbert Gottfried could be hired to record a few of them. |

That's why I *enjoy* driving in Chicago, Boston, NYC, etc. People like her get honked at, simply because it's illegal to PIT them into the bushes, drag them from their vehicles, and set their vehicles on fire - which is what you know most drivers are fantasizing about. Driving as a means of actually getting to one's destination in a reasonable amount of time - what a concept. Have I mentioned I like Chicago? nate |
