Default Steering is Tight on 98 Explorer

Have a 1998 AWD Explorer 5.0L; Was driving with no problems, then out of
the blue the steering became difficult to turn. It's sometimes is fine,
then other times is hard to turn wheel. Power steering pump is not
leaking or low on fluid or making any unusual noise. Just hard to turn
wheel which is sporadic.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Rob
