4 Wheel disc, How does the Park Brake work.

This is my first car(Element) with 4 wheel Disc Brake instead of drum/
Rear.
How does it work, and can I still use it as an Emergency brake, or to
go down a slippery hill, ABS intereferes with that if it's too
slippery, like mud etc.

Pretty well.

You could have either the drum-in-hat type or the caliper-mounted type.
Don't know which you actually have.

Same as any other. It's cable-operated, like all other parking brakes.

Wouldn't advise that. You'd induce fishtailing and you may end up rolling
over like the Chevy Blazer guy I saw yesterday.

ABS should have no effect on the parking brake. ABS works on the hydraulic
system only.

Don't try to defeat your ABS while sliding down a hill. Use a lower
gear, for starters. This is in your Owner's Manual.

The first time I engaged my 2003 Element's hand brake while slightly
moving forward, it made some funny noise (Slight banging)mechanical
noise, so I released it right away.
Thats why I asked if it can be used as an emergency brake as well as
Park brake.
