All I've put into it is a stereo and I'll probably put speakers in soon

No, they are all trained by "texting" each other
back and forth. I wonder how many people
posting here have ever worked an actual typewriter?

I actually took a typng class in high school, and the
"new" machines were those IBM Selectrics with the
bouncing ball covered in letters.

Obviously not. Some of them effectively use 'lol' as a punctuation mark
it seems.

I have, but not for almost a decade now. FYI, you don't have to press
the enter key at the end of each line. Unlike a typewriter, most news
clients, including OE, insert line breaks every x characters (usually
72) by default.

Same here though I believe the typewriter I practiced on had the daisy
wheel mechanism instead. In any case, I can't bring myself down to the
instant messaging vernacular even when using the medium.

Me. Took a two years in HS (screw off class). Entered AF and wound up
pounding an MC88 (manual typewriter with all caps) for 20 years in a
communications outfit. Electrics were several years in the future back
then. I could do about 70wpm on a good day.
