The last thing you need on any server is someone who hasn't driven the
track before. New players are always useful for cannon fodder in an FPS,
but not in a race.

Having choice is not a bad thing. A Mongolian Cluster-F^ck is a bad thing.

I completely agree. LFS is showing that the method of tight control on cars
and tracks seems a very good solution to the problem of excessive online
dispersion, the main present drawback of rF. I live in Italy, and here in
Europe LFS is very popular (and as Rick said it is very easy to join
crowded online races). I still don't fully understand why it seems much
less considered in America. Do you have any idea?

Not sure why we Americans haven't warmed up to LFS. If people can't go
down to their local store like Walmart or Best Buy etc. and pick up a
copy they probably don't even realize it's out there.

If ISI had so much trouble getting MP squared away d/ling just cars what
makes you think the bandwidth would be available for entire tracks? I'd
prefer you being on your own than ruining the experience for all.

What you guys need is a Racing Club. Not a league per se....but a
club. Like the real world racing clubs that are forming at tracks
like Bedford in England and Miller Motorsports and VIR and Barber in
the USA. Get a bunch of like minded guys together on a good server
and set it up so that it has a core of maybe 10 tracks with some
others that the admins could rotate in. Then everyone in the club
gets the same emails with links to the same tracks. Not everyone has
to show up for official races...but casual practices and pickup races
could be arranged. Then EVERYONE in the group
always has the same tracks and cars.
