Default Nissan Z24 engine

I had posted a message eariler about my 86 nissan smoking a little. It was
suggested that the valve guides were worn or guide seats were dried out.
My question is about the valve quides. Can the be removed with out taking
the valve rocker? I am looking at the parts break down in the haynes
manual but hard to tell. Any help? Thanks in advance.

The head will have to be removed and taken to a machine shop to be
nurled or replaced. And put new seals around the valve stems.
