Default 2001 740I(L) Questions

Hello All,

I have two questions for those who own or those who know.

1. I have noticed two different GPS displays in the 2001 model year. One has
a tape deck and the GPS screen is on the far right side. The other is
centered and I don't see a spot for a tape. What are the main differences in
both of these setups?

2. Maintenance wise how are these cars? I have owned three BMW's 1983 533i,
1993 325i, 1997 528i but had to buy a truck last year and am now ready to
supplement the truck with a 740 God willing.

Any advice and answers would sure be appreciated.

Thanks,

Fraser
