1991 Buick Regal Low Voltage
Hi,
When I switch on the ignition but before I start the car, I've got 14 Volts. The car starts normally. As I drive, however, some odd things are happening. When at idle, steady cruise and during decelleration, I get 14 volts. When I accellerate, it drops to about 8 Volts, the headlights dim and the turn signals stop flashing and remain steady. This is the opposite of what I'd normally expect. What's going on? Thanks! |

You will hear a bad diode through the radio, and it is not uncomon to have this problem, esspecially with that era GM alternator. -- Alan Gallacher Born to Tinker! > > > ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet > News==---- > http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ > Newsgroups > ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption > =---- |
