Starforce installs completely un-necessary drivers at Ring-0 of the
operating system.

That alone is enough for me to pass.

I say, that is scary. Almost like being in Beruit these days, with bombs
threatening your very existence.

Still, I don't always do what is right when it comes to software and haven't
had any out-of-the-blue system reboots. I think a lot of this is simply
nonsense, like how Norton wants everyone to think that viruses are as common
as Pepsi Cola.

Lots of people care. I, for one, won't buy it if it has Starforce. GTR

Could you post what is says as I am getting this error.

That would be Starforce screwing with your security settings, no doubt.

AutoSimSport that Starforce has been dropped from GTR2 - both the demo
version available today and the final release version scheduled
September 30th. Sources reveal that 10Tacle have, instead, opted for
securrom, which our source reveals as a "Sony solution".

Whether anti Starforce or not, I think it good news that the sim racing
community shouldn't be further fragmented by security software.
