Default Tires Revisited

I have a 98 XLT that was part of the tire re-call nut roll. I did the
Michelin M/S as my chosen replacement and they are wonderful tires.
My truck is in need of another set of tires and I'm not where I want
to shell out $500.00 to do it. Any recommendations on a decent and
cheaper tire? I do about 200 a week on low traffic back country
paved/gravel roads and rarely go over 65. Too, I'm keeping them at
about 38 to help the mileage a little.
TIA,
RJ

If you're happy with the Michelins, why not just bite the bullet and do it
all again? I don't even look at other tires, any more - not even the
price....

Those four little patches of rubber are all that separate me (and my family)
from the ground. When it comes to things like tires, brakes, steering and
such, I am not about to start haggling price...

Just my point of view.

Costco often runs a sale on Michelin tires. They are not designated
the same as tires purchased in tire stores, but would trust Costco not
to pull a fast one. BTW, you're really in for sticker shock. Tires
for my '05 are now around $800 a set.

Default Tires Revisited

Two years ago, 265/75R16s cost $880 CA installed and balanced on all four
corners..... spendy, but never have a worry...
