I take it there is a size difference between old and new.

You might try, and it's a real long shot, Crutchfield
(www.crutchfield.com).... or possibly even Custom Auto Sound.
Have to Google for them unless someone has the URL handy.

Otherwise, it's probably fabrication time. In which case does the
opening need to be enlarged or shrunk? Couple of people who drop in
here have done fabrications and may be of some help.

The answer is yes, and no.

There are a few being made to fit a DIN style deck in the old dual knob
spot, but they are billet aluminum and cost ~$300. This is STUPID!!!! That's
WITHOUT a new stereo, just the plate!!!

Unless the original plate is trashed, I'd buy a new aftermarket and cut it.
With a good fabbed plate for the front it should look fine if you take your
time and do it right. They only run ~$30.

I've heard that DMP is making a plastic DIN swap plate, but I have yet to
see one in a catalog or on their website. Not sure what the price would be,
but I think they sell a kit that has this swap plate and a new radio, now if
you can get JUST the plate. hmm.
