Default Newbie question

Where can I find a definition of the "Exx" designations so that I can follow
the discussions with a bit more comprehension?

I just started reading this news group because I'm planning on buying a
325xi after driving one. It had been years since I drove a BMW and after
test driving a wide variety of makes and models recently, I was delighted
with the "feel" of the 325.

I'm sure I and others have mentioned it many times if you just google here,
but:

You may find this site interesting if you'd like more details about 'E'
models.
