That's my understanding, part of GM trying to consolidate their brands.
Saturn is pretty much going to be an American outlet for the Opel mark,
based on what I've been reading about the upcoming designs. All the chasses
are standard GM parts and aside from cosmetic and feature changes, will be
essentially the same cars.

However, if they're good cars and Saturn maintains some semblance of
customer service (and they've always been good to me), I won't be happy
about losing the polymer body but I'll probably still buy another.

My friend has an xB, and it drives pretty well. It has lots of room,
especially in the back seat. The only things I didn't like about it is the
rough ride in the back seat and the styling.

Since you're obviously wondering, yes; your friend is also a Geek©.

Actually his girlfriend is the one who decided to buy the Scion, so blame
her. And she's not geeky at all.
