Default is valve cover gasket leaking a big problem? (o)

I noticed that my valve cover gasket may need replacing, because there
is
oil around the edges. However, I don't see any puddles of oil puddles
on the pavement where the car where the car is parked. It's very clean.

Is that
a big problem that must be fixed ASAP? Would it affect my sparkplugs?

It needs to be fixed, but I wouldn't call it 'urgent'. If you aren't
having to add much oil between changes <1 qt, just fix it when you have
the time.

You can't 'idiot proof' anything....every time you try, they just make
better idiots.

If it is a cork gasket, it is supposed to be wet at the edges, just not
enough to run or drip.
