136/140/150 HP all are the same engines, just different motormanagement
Chiptuning to 175-190HP / ~400NM is feasable when done by "real" tuners;
there are only a few out there!!

The multi jet is a real step forward, easily tuned to 200-215HP/~450NM

Basically all Alfa engines are very reliable with (normal) incidents.

Only thing that puzzles me is the "replaced" engine.
Is it new? Or used and then how old, how many km's???
And, what happened to the old one to need a new engine?
Is the cause of the damage still in the car??
(radiator/thermostat/turbo/motormanagement/inter-cooler?)
90.000km's is a very low amount for an engine to be worn.
200.000km should be an absolute minimum as "life-end". 250.000/300.000km's
are absolutely "normal".

In respect to non-engine parts, check for worn front wishbone rubbers and
front wheel alignment, typical for 156.
For the rest (because of the 100.000km's): check the shock absorbers and the
brake discs/pads
