Default Know Your Roads, Edition II

Hi All,

For Edition II of Know Your Roads, you're looking at an international
airport. A State highway passes right through it, and is six lanes in
width. Can you guess the State Route and the name of the airport?

http://worldwide-hwys.calrog.com/kyr/kyr-ii.html

Give yourself one point for naming the State Route, another point for the
direction-of-travel, and lastly, another point for the airport's name. The
total number of points available are three. Good luck! Results will be
given this Friday.

Cheers,

Carl Rogers

My first guess was going to be TX 97 at the DFW airport since the
state route goes right down the middle of the airport.

After checking out the photo and its clue, a better guess would be
southbound IN 912 at the Gary/Chicago International Airport.

Is either right?

Dunno why I get a NY feel from this pic, but I do. I'm going to guess
I-678 at JFK. But knowing my luck, its probably <shudder> EWR </
shudder>.

Hi All,

The results are in! The photo's of Illinois State Route 50 at Chicago's
Midway International Airport.

If you're looking for photos of other Illinois State Routes, including
the unnumbered Elgin-O'Hare Expressway, the Worldwide Highway Library
delivers at http://worldwide-hwys.calrog.com/repository.html#il
