Default C4 Corvette rear turn indicator light problem

The rear side (both sides) turn indicator lights don't work.
These are the lights mounted in the side of the rear bumper.
The running lights work fine.

They have neve worked since I got the car and I am now getting
around to troubleshooting them.

I checked all of the fuses and they are fine. The front turn indicator
lights in the front bumper sides work, the rear turn signal/stop
lights work fine.

I am stumped, HELP!
Oh and I cannot find my factory service manual to trace the wiring
down.

If they are clear lensed, you may be referring to the lateral backup lights.
Turn on ignition and lights and put the car in reverse.

Did you change the bulbs. All you have to do is reach under the car and
grasp the bulb assembly and turn it counterclockwise while depressing
the tab and the bulb will come out. Mine went out aobut the same time.
They went out within a month of each other.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

Paul: I found my Factory service manual last night and looked at the
wiring
schematic and imagine my surprise when I find that those side lights
are wired in with the reverse backup lights. So I got in the car put
it in reverse and
they light up no problem.

Thanks again.
