What do you mean "nice try?" this sounds very similar to the incident
you classified as "speed related."

I... have classified no crash as "speed related".

I... merely pointed out in that thread that IMO the CHP was correct by
classifying the crash as "speed related" **in accordance with CA law**.

Arif evidently found the phrase "Speed not a factor" in a news report
and misinterpreted that to mean another somewhat similar crash in a
different state 1000 miles away was determined to not have speed as a
related factor.

The law is probably certain to vary from state to state and a crash
exactly like SD Dave observed might be found to be unrelated to speed.
But in CA, it wasn't.
