Moving -- Selling Car...Options?

I will be moving in September to New York. Currently, I have a Nissan
Xterra that I want to get rid of when I make the move. I have
researched this a little and realized that I have few options. I can
sell it on an online website/newspaper but not sure if there are other
options. Since I need my car to commute around town until I sell my
car, is there another option in the event I do not sell the car in
time?

Any suggestions? Ideas?

Unfortunately this does happen, I've seen both sides of that coin.

A local car dealer would give wholesale price whenever you want
Smaller dealers would be a good bet, if it's an attractive car.

Local gas stations might consider a deal where they get a commission
after the sale, this way they can make money, without investing any.
I know of a [ former ] local repair garage that did so many of those
deals, they later became a used car lot, and sent the repair work out.
