Default Neighbor has fallen victim to the bug

I have an '02 SE, Titanium Grey. One of my neighbors
down the street has always commented on how much she likes
my M2, she wants one.

So she and her hubby got serious about a new M2 recently,
and I strongly encouraged them to hunt for a deal on a
leftover '04 MazdaSpeed. They ended up with a new '04
(51 miles on clock, a few test drives there), and it's
also Titanium Grey.

Well, she hasn't driven a manual tranny in a long time
and let her husband drive it to work on Monday. He'd
been of the opinion he wouldn't fit in it, that it wouldn't
be quick enough, so on.

So he stops over yesterday, grinning like a little boy.
He was surprised how it fit like a glove, handled like a
dream, and was surprisingly quick. He even threatened to
take it over from his wife if she didn't start driving it.

He had a look of giddy happiness, even a silly grin, talking
about it.

Heh heh.

Someone should explain you don't get into a Miata, you put it on. And
it fits very nicely for me, anyway.

Isn't that the way it happened for most of us?

One minute of silence please. I just remember the first day that i was
driving around with that silly grin, and a dead bug on my face.

Yes.

Except for the part about not fitting. I'm barely 5'5"...
