Road rage study
A new study suggests millions of Americans suffer from road rage and it
all begins in the brain. A group of researchers at Harvard and the University of Chicago have come up with a new explanation for extreme road rage. A condition known as intermittent explosive disorder. And the researchers say the disorder, also known as IED, could affect as many as 16 million americans. It's really a brain based disorder, just like depression or panic disorder or any other important disorders that people talk about in psychiatry. The study indicates the disorder is on the rise among teenagers, that it should be treated before it progresses into more violent behavior. It's a reaction out of context or almost bigger than what would be an expected or normal reaction for a typical teenager having a fight with his mom. But some critics say the study's findings may be exaggerated, that more research is needed to see just how common IED really is. Take a look a this report about intermittent explosive disorder, this isn't a spam: http://www.groundhog.tv/apps/editor/staticplayer.jsp?clip=1149880750258.wmv"><img src=" |
