1997 honda civic CX hatchback - stiff shifter
Hi! I recently purchased an automatic 97 Honda civic with 137kms. I
have noticed that the shifter is very stiff. I have to use two hands to move it. It's particularly stiff going from park to reverse. Do I have anything to be worried about? |

Do I have > anything to be worried about? -------------------------------------- If it's an automatic, and it's worse on colder days, you need to get the shifter cable adjusted. Here's a TSB that describes the adjustment, although it's about a different recall. http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/tsb/civic/x94-010e.pdf CR-V is the same, in fact almost all Hondas are like this, and worse when it gets cold.
