Default issue on 96 Explorer

Temperature guage won't move. Car throws warm air for awhile but then it
just never gets hot. Coolant is a week old. Just purchased. Ideas?-themostat

Also any info on the sway bar replacement. What purpose would this serve?

My first thought would be the thermostat is stuck open. Any indication of a
bad water pump?

No, coolaant level has remained steady. No leakage. Then again it's winter.

I doubt changing the sway bar would affect your coolant temp, but you might
try it and let us know. Just kidding. Is yours squeaking?

Thermostat would be a good place to start.
