bull****! you listed some websites which proves NOTHING. no matter what
you try to claim, "freon" is a trademark of dupont and nothing more.

> You seem to be the *only* one insisting on a strict interpretation.

being as im the "*only*" one with actual first hand experience with
refrigeration/refrigerants id say that puts me in a pretty good position.
:-)

> in many parts of the world, a jeep is any four wheel drive utility

that doesnt make it right or proper. im glad to see that you claim any four
wheel drive is a "jeep". it just goes to show how full of **** the rest of
your argument is.

> Oh, went to pool-boy school too!

yup....so that employees under me and work under my CPO enabling me to take
on total contracts instead of just hvac. :-)

> I guess that really qualifies you to talk about atmospheric science. <G>

or your little google qualifies you as a refrigeration expert. :-)

> Another classic Nateism: "Chlorine dissolves in sunlight"

not what i said asshole, but i understand fully why you must make things up
as you go along.

HL&S <G>, but don't you think it's more than just a little bit dishonest
to snip what I wrote and then claim I said something completely different?

What I wrote shows my opinion that a Jeep is any of a family of 1/4 ton
utility vehicles manufactured by Bantam, Ford, and Willys under military
contract, and all subsequent vehicles of a similar visual design
manufactured by Willys, Kaiser, AMD, Mitsubishi, and Chrysler, followed
by DC. I also can acknowledge in other areas of the world that jeep is
used somewhat less specifically with no major heartburn. Really, what
good does it do to jump up and down screeching "your the wrong", when it
will not change their usage? Is is what *is*, not what should be.

for the record, what I originally wrote:
-------------------------------------------
When I was in Thailand on an install I had the opportunity during some
slack time to visit some of the local ruins. My local contact said he
would get a "jeep" that we could take into the back country. I was quite
surprised when he rolled up in an old Landrover 88. Now, if I had had my
pee-pee whacked as badly by D.C. as you have had, I probably would have
taken umbrage at his characterization of an obvious knock-off as a
"jeep". Instead, I realized that the larger world can see things quit
differently than self proclaimed "insiders". It is not a matter of right
or wrong, simply the ability to observe reality, and that reality is
that in many parts of the world, a jeep is any four wheel drive utility
vehicle. BTW, one school of thought is that the term jeep was coined as
an alliteration of the Ford GPW designation. It was then applied
generically to any of the three Bantam derived 1/4 ton recon vehicles
produced for the war. It is odd that a slang term applied generically
could, after the fact, be copyrighted and used as a trade name, but
stranger things have happened.

Hey Poolboi, don't you remember writing:

> continually fed into pools.
> wanna see my CPO card too? :-)

Perhaps you have short term memory problems that go with your reading
comprehension problems.

YOU stated that in many parts of the world any 4x4 is referenced as a jeep.
you went on to DEFEND IT by claiming its usage was reasonable
(paraphrasing).

"reality is that in many parts of the world, a jeep is any four wheel drive
utility vehicle." YOUR words.

jeff i dont care whats done anywhere in the world it doesnt change the
bottom line. no matter how many ignorant people say it, a land rover is NOT
a jeep. by the same token, no matter how many ignorant people use "freon"
to describe refrigerant it just does not make it so. you can continue to
argue your ignorance all you want, you cannot change the bottom line and the
harder you argue your ignorance the more you take away from your valid
points.

fine and well, i stand corrected (<-- the mark of integrity which you
liberals know nothing of). in my haste i failed to express myself properly.
so you are suggesting that sunlight does not destroy chlorine?

"Numerous field tests and evaluations have demonstrated that the addition of
a minimum of 30 parts per million of cyanuric acid to swimming pool water
prevents wasteful destruction of the free chlorine residual by sunlight. "
from
http://webpages.charter.net/poolserv...0Chemistry.htm
and i can find you 1000 links showing that sunlight destroys chlorine.

me:
You don't have a clue about your limitations... imagine you,
an HVAC tech, making pronouncements about atmospheric
science! That shows *extreme* hubris... you deserve what
you get.

You deserve what you get... remember that.

Then you'll be more than happy to point out
the lie, right?

You must be a big Seinfeld fan... that's the only
'grammer' you'll find around here.

Hint: next time you attempt a spelling flame,
use a dictionary first. Your heart's in the right
place, I can tell!
