I know the feeling, I once owned an invisible car. Believe it or not,
it was a metallic dark gold with white top 1975 Dodge Ramcharger, a
very large SUV. I'd changed the manifold and carburetor as well as
adding headers and glasspack mufflers so it wasn't terribly loud but it
was nowhere near "stealth!"

Time and time again cars beside me would attempt to change lanes in to
me and one unconscious guy in a Porsche was beside my left front wheel
and decided to turn right into a shopping center! My ESP was working
that day, I was locking up the brakes before he began his turn and
missed him by inches...

The rig got scratched up over the years from heavy off-road use and the
guy who ended up with it intended to repaint it. He primered it and
all the invisibility problems ceased, who knows why? Last time I saw
it, it was still primered and still visible to other drivers, I've
avoided gold colors ever since!

One of my motorcycle habits, which I find I'm also using when driving
the Miata, is to watch the front wheels of cars in the adjacent lanes,
beside or slightly ahead of me. You may think eye contact was made
and they know you are there, but that wheel turning towards you is
never ambiguous.

When is your birthday? I can order one for you.

If you don't ever get a round tuit, there is also a square tuit available.

I much appreciate the offer but I've stopped having birthdays, I'm old
enough now!

I actually carried a round tuit for several years but somehow it got
lost... Of course I've not been able to do anything since because of
not getting a round tuit. <sigh>

One of my school friends once owned a bright yellow Camaro Convertible.
~1966-67.
It was always getting hit, backed into, or cut off on the road.
(Never did make any sense to me.) How could anyone miss a bright yellow
convertible!
The car would be worth much more today (if in good condition) than it sold
for new!

That strategy worked for the owner of a company that I worked for. I was
there for 3 1/2 years, and I saw him turn 80 three times. No joke.

That was over 9 years ago, and that man was too mean to die. I have no
doubt that he will turn 80 again this year.

It is a vicious circle.
I could send you mine, but then I would still have to get a round tuit
again, so I think it is a hopeless process. ;-)

I operate under the assumption that if the driver glances into
the next lane, he _is_ going to move over -- regardless of
whether it appears he's seen me or not.
